Diane Thurston, Director of Client Services

Diane has over 20 years of operational leadership and consulting experience across for-profit, non-profit, philanthropic, and public sector organizations. Over the past 10+ years, she has focused on hire-to-retire talent strategies, leadership transition and other transformational change, and diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI).

She brings deep expertise in applying an equity lens to executive selection and board development, as well as organization-wide DEI strategy and tactical initiatives. She is committed to mitigating the impacts of systemic or institutional bias through inclusive and forward-looking frameworks that promote empathy and actionable, sustainable change. She is skilled in bridging conversations that involve DEI through custom learning sessions such as “Changing the Conversation on ‘Culture fit’”, board and staff collaboration workshops, and transition or cultural readiness assessments.

Diane partners closely with clients to design and facilitate leadership change that goes beyond resumes, integrating invested party engagement and inclusive marketing & outreach. Her background spans leadership roles in operations, marketing, communications, organizational development, M&A integration, and program and change management, giving her a well-rounded view of leadership needs across roles and sectors. Clients value Diane’s ability to connect with leaders and invested parties at all levels, her commitment to transparency and partnership, and her track record of helping organizations make leadership transitions that are not only successful but transformative.

Outside of work, Diane enjoys live music and the performing arts, sports, hiking and other dog-friendly adventures.
